This is a draft of my in progress Lloyd rig. Zbrush and photoshop. More of this guy to come.
Final thing I made in school. I wanted to visualize the daylight flow in an interior. There's actually an animated version if you dig some in the news archive from May 2011.
3D render of a grinder. Made in technical illustration class. We were asked to butcher a technical tool of some kind, examine the parts, and make a blow up sketch as well as a "selling" illustration for it. This is the latter.
Black Tunnel Web Spider Close
Black tunnelweb spider, close up view one. You can actually find an A3 print on my deviant art if you're interested!
Black Tunnel Web Spider Close two
Black tunnelweb spider, second close up. This guy is showing off his fangs.
Black Tunnel Web Spider
Black tunnelweb spider 3Ds Max, Mental Ray. Made for a school assignment in 3D class. Environment view.
One of my earlier 3D pieces. School assignment to get better hang of modeling and rendering. Mental Ray.
In Scientific Illustration class, we went to the local Zoo to make sketches of live animals. It was in the middle of the winter, and the zoo was actually closed for public. When I had some decent sketches, I went back and finished in Photoshop.
Sgt. John Mullins
Mullins from Castle series. Painted in Photoshop. Wanted to make a piece completely from my mind without external influenses or distractions.
Wolf.Made in Scientific Illustration class. Traditional pencil sketch by looking at a stuffed wolf. Then finished off in Photoshop.
Blossfeldiana. Botanical Illustration made as an assignment for scientific illustration class. Ink with dotting technique.
DQ Group Drawing 2009
2009 group picture version of our members. Quite a lot more people were squeezed in, and even so I also missed a bunch!
Quick draft of an butterfly. School assignment to make covert art for a book about communication.
Ship at sea
3D render of a ship from a school assignment. This was my first real anything made with 3Ds Max. I had no clue about render engines and rendered this with the default scanline renderer.
My first version of Lloyd from the Castle series. While I make these Castle characters, I keep an open mind and I wouldn't say that the artworks like these are canon to the official storyline or style.
A school assignment to get some knowledge in Illustrator. Theme was our climate changes obviously.
Last Chance Etrius
Last chance Etrius. Short oils in Painter X. An important scene from the Castle series.
Probably not how I would draw The General from the Castle series nowadays. Here he is anyways.
Early imagined Dr. Romanov from the Castle series. Fun fact: I forgot the moustache at first and had to photoshop it in afterwards.
Old piece of Boomer from the Castle series. Pencil on paper. I might have done some post editing with Photoshop as well.
